Easy Social Emotional Learning Activities for the Classroom: Handling Anger

There are lots of resources for social emotional learning available today. Here are some fun, free, activities you can utilize in the classroom for grades K-2. This article specifically will provide you with a lesson for handling anger. Our activities incorporate reading, writing, and language building practice.


When I’m Feeling Red- Book Reading and Activities

  1. Begin by talking about anger

  2. Ask the class about a time they were angry

  3. Follow up with how they handled their feelings

  4. Watch the Video Reading of “When I’m Feeling Red”

  5. Discuss the Questions presented at the end of the book

  6. Follow up with the journal activity below
